Concrete Mix Design with Virtual Rapid Chloride Penetration Test (VRCPT) - Version 1.3.8

Description

Concrete Mix Design with Virtual Rapid Chloride Penetration Test (VRCPT) is a program that can optimize the concrete mix design proportion by considering the initiation time of the chloride penetration throughout the concrete cover. The chloride penetration is estimated using the 2nd Fick's law. The Optimization method is using Genetic Algorithm (GA). The formulation of the VRCPT is based on the work of Bentz [1]. The VRCPT core algorithm was prepared in VC++ while the GA optimization was prepared in VC#.Net. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is prepared in VB.Net.

  • Program Features:

    - Concrete mix design formulation is based on ACI 211.1 (Normal-Strength-Concrete).
    - Customized material prices in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

    Future Development:

    - Add concrete mix design formulation for high-strength-concrete (HSC).
    - Extending the VRCPT formulation for geopolymer concrete.
    - Coupling VRCPT with concrete constitutive model.
