Faimun obtained his Ir. (a higher degree than BSc.) from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in 1986. In 2004, he hold his master degree in
Newcastle University, Newcastle, United Kingdom (UK). He got his PhD from Newcastle University in 2011 with the research topic of reliability analysis
of laminated plates.
